Are you making your approach to pet parenthood greener? If so, what do you do about thinks like fleas?

Years ago I changed
How I handled fleas. It happened when my vet handed me a new spray and told me to be sure and wear rubber gloves when I applied it to my pet.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? If it is going to be harmful to me by getting on my hands, I certainly don't want it all over her little body.
Now I use baby shampoo with chamomile and lavender. Works better than anything and she smells great.
