when you are only going somewhere you could walk to in less than 15 mins? It's only recently that i've managed to talk my other half into walking down the road a couple of blocks to get the newspaper in the morning. Do you make an effort to use the car less?

Walking Has no downside

For short errands, unless of course it's uphill bothways, in the snow, at 40 below. We love to walk whenever it seems "right". Also, the bicycles are often the best alternative.

As often as possible...

I love to wlak and do that for most of my shopping...even if it means walking a few miles...it is a very good form of excercise, increases my stamina...and ofcourse eco friendly..:)

Very seldom

I live in the country, so there are not many places that I could walk to in less than 15 minutes. I have to drive most places.

It's how I justify

... getting the chocolate donut I'm going to buy with my newspaper. I'm walking off the calories.
