Choose what works for you

I do a great deal of shopping online because it's faster and easier. I tend to buy the items in groups and they are often sent in a single box and through the postal service. The postal truck is going to be there to deliver mail even if it has nothing on it for me, so I can save time and energy all at once

It depends

They have to send the package to you so that is a lot of gas and carbon emissions. However if your package is being sent with a bunch of other ones its kinda like car pooling your package.

Good or bad, really depends on how you feel about it

Well I won't for certain says it's better because you must admit somethings are a bit difficult to buy online - somethings you just need to be there to know if or not it will work for you. Yes it does help cut down carbon emissions but you must also appreciate that in order for the item to get to you, it must also travel so it won't exactly be zero carbon footprints.

So it's a matter of preference really. Somethings I buy online, some other things I still venture out to buy for myself.

If you prefer to shop in person then just be wary about the travel method and frequency. If it's near, take a walk or car pool etc.

There are options you can take to reduce the carbon footprints so you don't have to feel guilty about taking a trip down to the mall/departmental store.

You don't have to commit 100% of your shopping to being done online to help the environment.
