What are your plans for the earth hour to be celebrated on 28 march from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm local time in all parts of the world...something special in mind?

It is interesting to see how many people love the idea of living off grid, and how many of them talk about Urban Homesteading as their dream future.

However, most of the same people will object to their neighbor's having chickens or a goat in the yard, even though keeping small livestock is part of the Urban Homesteading movement.

What would you say to these people who like to dream but hate the reality?

Our state just got some stimulus money to subsidize home improvements for people making about $40,000.00 per year. The improvements are to make the homes more energy efficient.

Has your state received any stimulus money for energy upgrades yet?

I recently saw at a shop someoen selling solar lanterns that could be charged in the morning by keeping under the sun and then using them at night. I just wanted to know..how efficient are they...I mean for how long will the lamp burn...does anyone use these lamps

People are looking for most environmentally friendly products in other areas, why not in furniture? I need outdoor patio furniture, what company is the greenest?
