Have you noticed how all of the wind turbines going up, the great big ones, look like the propellers on a plane?
I heard that the vertical design, shaped more like a barrel or cylinder, is actually more cost effective and easier to use, while being safer for flying wild life.
Is this true?
If so, why are we seeing the huge propellers everywhere?

Not that I
am cynical or anything, but most likely, the propellor kind are cheaper to buy and install.. Or it could be there is a contract somewhere for someone to supply these, and he happens to have powerful friends?
