TerraMadreFoundation asks:Log Homes Renewable?

We have gotten both good and bad responses regarding the log home industry. It seems that we should use fewer paper tissues and towels, but the allure of a log home seems to transcend the arguement. What do you think?

I think loghomes are ecofiendly!

I am no expert in the issue but considering the facts as to the raw materials that go into building a log home and a normal brick cement home....I think log homes are a better alternative. See if you can get any green ideas from the site of this loghome builders...http://www.precisioncraft.com/GreenBuilding.html

A Log Home Lover Too

Have you ever seen the catalogs for log homes? Beautiful isn't the word to describe it. Do you mean can you reuse the logs from your home in another log home? I don't know why not...just to recycle the logs?, I think they're treated against insect infestation, etc., so I'd think not.
