I'm wondering, because of higher costs and the extremely high price of replacement batteries, are hybrids less expensive or more expensive to operate than a regular all-gasoline powered vehicle? I know they are better for the environment, but I"m still wondering.

I would love to see subsidies allowing middle and low income citizens the purchase of hybrid or electric cars.

Would you support a Federal Program for this?

It is just a wild idea I had...when you travel you automatically have fast moving air so can't a contraption be developed that is lie a windmill on top of the car roof that harness the fast blowing air energy and uses it to inturn run the car?

While I want a hybrid vehicle, I am not wiling to buy one that is brand new. The costs for payments and plates are unacceptable, IMHO.

Have converted their fleet of delivery vehicles to zero emission electric vehicles. the UK government has already converted almost all it's fleet of official cars to hybrids and has promised all government vehicles and contractors will be converted by 2012. Is this happening in the US?

There have been a lot of news about new Hybrid cars that they plan to bring to market. Do any of you have any preferred Hybrid cars that you would buy when they hit the market?
