Is it possible for a mass produced non-fossil car in this economic climate

Especially in this economic climate....

I think that mass producing non-fossil fueled cars is not only possible, but highly likely. The automotive companies are reorganizing and the Obama administration is also putting pressure on them to develop "eco-friendly" technology.

totally agree.. plus you'll see 10-15 years from now anyone who hasn't gone green will go bankrupt meaning they HAVE to go green
ps green is cool now so for companies to appeal to the public they have to go green just look at the last few years of product marketing

Mass Production Can Be

Applied to almost all worthy products, including hydrogen-fueled cars, solar-poewred, bio-diesel, hybrid, etc. But your question is very timely in these times. It would take a lot of guts to start up an expensive project like that!
