stavy asks:recycling

we've been asked in our neighbourhood to start separating ALL our rubbish, with separate bins for paper, plastics, clear glass, coloured glass, polystyrene, food... I pretty much do all that anyway, but some of my neighbours are complaining that there is way too much to do. Would you be happy to go to all that trouble or would you stop doing it al together and put everything in normal trash?

summer is almost here and so is sunbathing. Do you know of any "eco-friendly" sunblocks that are on the market today?

HereToday asks:Can you combine them?

If you are recycling "metal" cans, can you combine aluminum and steel in the same bin?

Ok, I do know that it took thousands of years for the dead trees and shoots to get converted into oil and coal, but just thinknig can't something be done artificially in labs to speeden up the process...with so much technological advancement we keep talking about.

stavy asks:Voting Green

Europe is in the thoes of PArliamentary elections for the community. It will take 4 days for all the members to get their votes in. Our polling day was today, and when i wnet to vote i was presented with a biwildering array of 30 odd candidates, some from parties i had never even heard of! I voted for the Green Party this time, knowing that they hadn't a hope in hell of being elected, but the only ones i could vote for given the scandal involving all the major parties recently and their expenses claims. In effect then, i wasted my vote, although it could be considered a protest vote.. Did i do the right thing?

I am always concious of the duty i have as a citizen to use the vote my ancestors fought for, and that so many of our young men are giving up their lives to secure for other places.

we waste a huge amount of power through heat lost from poorly fitting windows and doors and low quality insulation in lofts.

There are many low cost things you cvan do to insulate your home and save on heating bills.. what do YOU do?
