We are fortunate enough to live near a light rail station, and haven't experienced any problems, but many folks protested light rail near their homes. In other words, mass transit is good, just not in their neighborhoods.

To move more people further, faster, and using fewer fossil fuels, there has been talk of high speed trains, or "Bullet Trains" being built across the country.

If you knew one of these was going to be built near your neighborhood, would you accept its being built, or would you protest against its location?

all polititians should universally accept the facts and concerns regarding the environemt and work for the benefit of the whole world. Is it right to then debate over issues like global warming, climate change etc. and waste time debating rather than doing something positive in an unified way?

What should politicians be focusing on right now? What is the most important issue for them today?

on green and environmental issues in the US? Rumour has it that the Bush administration suppressed many new technological advances due to the pressure exerted by 'Big Oil' Is that true? Will it be different now?

Part of the bill calls for extensive and expensive infrastructure outlay. While this spending will be good for the economy, will the infrastructure projects interfere with the environment?

If they aren't does it seem to be hurting their chances for re-election?

Do you feel that they should be hunted or should they be left alone and let nature balance itself?
