which one of these can you not do without?

TV? Mobile phone? Computer? iPod? DVD Player? We all become ever more dependant on our electronic toys, how would we cope without them?

We are currently experimenting with these in several towns around the UK.

From Defra - "Anaerobic digestion breaks down organic matter to produce biogas which can be used as a renewable energy source for heat and power, and as a transport fuel. It produces a nutrient-rich digestate which can be used as fertiliser, and importantly it keeps organic waste out of landfill, which cuts greenhouse gas emissions. "

THis is working so well at the moment.. household food waste is collected by special carts which takeit to the plant where the process takes place. The pilot scheme is producing enough power to run 300 homes. If this continues with no major problems it is intended to build these plants all over the country. Do you think it could catch on in your neighbourhood?

I recently heard that Coke has come up with this technology where apparels are designed from recycled bottles...Will you wear them?

The dream of reaching out and colonising other worlds is fast becoming more of a reality with more countries joining in the attempts to reach the stars. Do you think mankind has matured enough to be able to live on another planet without making the same mistakes we have with this one ?

In my parents home there was a solar cooker long time ago which cooked delicious meals which were nutritiuos too...I can't find those cookers now. Have they become obsolete or is some more development taking place in that area. I would love to know if someone uses this cookrer wchich is very energy efficient and eco friendly.

Have you noticed how all of the wind turbines going up, the great big ones, look like the propellers on a plane?

I heard that the vertical design, shaped more like a barrel or cylinder, is actually more cost effective and easier to use, while being safer for flying wild life.

Is this true?

If so, why are we seeing the huge propellers everywhere?

I know the idea is simply replacing your plastic bottles with steel...but does it make any difference in cooling...

I think these are better alternatives to even cars as they would use lesser energy, do you know more about hybrid scooters?
