i am an envisioneer and activist besides these i am strongly agnostic yet this does not mean i support passivism in terms of the improbabilities regarding environmental future, as i am only against knowledge that doesn't have the "logical potential" of ascertaining.
  • first off... flies have one inneglible role of helping with the decomposition and some species are crucial for pollination.

secondly, wasps prey on other insects including "flies"... so as to control pestilence.
  • extinction from natural selection must be out of the question thereupon saving anything from extinction might be as harmful as not saving something from artificial human interference.
  • i pointed to a single element among many... so this makes it excludent for the whole human specie; unless you consider yourself not one of them.
  • right now human is the most endangered among species and it is because of the reason that these vey words articulated by you hereby. if humanity is to survive then, it's the care and measures taken towards environmental issues including endangerment.
  • if humanity is to survive then, it's the care and measures taken towards environmental issues including endangerment that will make it happen.
  • i said taking "you" out, would mean no harm to human specie, as long as you consider yourself a human being and not a seperate specie on your own. :D
  • i am saying that, when freezing and then a while later defrosting human bodies with no harm at all can be accomplished and when we know how to cope with the effects of space radiation, the sapce travel will be possible.
  • btw, cryogenic hybernation (freezing-defrosting thing) is crucial because if we fully awake in long space travels the lack of gravity would cause enormous damage to muscles.
  • but is it enough? this kind of collaboration only happing in rather small groups/societies... what if such motive could be exhibited by larger masses of people, among societies that are ridden with traditions and "unsound cultural impositions".
  • well said...

    every effort should count!
  • that is -sadly true... i wonder what will they do when are no beans let alone earth left to count. :|
  • i think interpretation lending this kind of feminen attitude towards such important issues is one of the mischieves that masculism causes due to agitation from feminism; feminism that is fighting on desperate grounds.
  • infact, i think, what happens is at the first place oppressed women raise their voices then virility "enforces" it's will, cornering the feminist notion, and finally feminists desperately resort to anything that will help their cause to be heard.
  • and yet unfortunately feminists find advocative elements in environmentalism too... so i assume this is the fuss... i wish neither of feminism or masculism ever existed.
  • we both serve one pupose and that is propagation of human being... i think we both should be perfectly content with that purpose and not carry the matter any further as to cause any disharmony or differentiation.
  • what about low budget amateur projects? -lending a hand to the endeavorer, who vanguards just alone and who would achieve great feats only with some help?
  • keewi is a "he".
  • and as a reminder i would like to say that willow is quiet omnipresent around the world... but! take into account that none of us here knows a willow tree better than a willow tree so estimates done by any of us here can be misleading...
  • thus whatever tree one may choose it must "essentially" be a tree that is "native" to it's "upbringing soil habitat"!
  • and btw same goes for pine.
  • religion is not a naturally out grown concept; "god" is. the purpose of religion is controlling unrest among deprived and badly ruled communities using the means of such intengible sentimental elements.
  • henceforth as lon gas there are power-mongers and tyrants there will always be "religion".
  • correction: is. the purpose of religion is controlling unrest among deprived and badly ruled communities -by- using the means of such intengible sentimental elements.
  • i don't question feasibility of undertakings but the main concern i was trying to bring about was on efforts that would be "shrugged off" just because of their rather small seeming scale, leaving the bold enterpreneur pretty much haplessly on own.
  • how about "necronophile states" as they often thrive upon the macrocosm that they have extirpated.
  • prudence... always prevails over pride; this in our code our very essence... as so naturally, "excessive pride" leads to extinction - only it takes some time for things to get a prudent momentum, sometimes more time and sometimes less.
  • let's hope contemporarily, it doesn't take much time for that fateful motive to be caught.
  • if we will it...
  • you are right about that but there is twist... god concept is born out of pschological defense mechanisms and congnitive human mind does'nt stop there as it adheres new fantasies and ideas upon the cited "God concept"...
  • now, that expansion of the concept of godliness may be called "beliefs"... the word "religion" comes into play when those fantasies are "bundled up" to produce a "tool" for "affecting" masses of people.
  • as you can see, if we ever make space-faring a real feasibility there may not be christianism, jewism, islam, hinduism etc but there will be a "religion" as long as there are maddened-power-hungry people out there...
  • things will unfold and the slow pace of the process is what makes it especially dangerous... it is not the poles that i fear but the occurings that happen to be bringing on the magnetosphere weakening...
  • and such slices of time which could last for decades due to the slowness of the process would mean solar radiation levels soaring up. earth has witnessed mass extinctions before and the next one could be looming just around the corner.
  • call of the wild :)
  • i am not "eessentially" trying to promote any paranoia... i am "officially" and most consciously preaching these words to raise awareness and i most certainly can see the potential of human ingenuity as much as i trust in it too.
  • great! thanks for the input

...only if we had some more people here
  • and by the way, here is some great site about such info... "http://www.spaceweather.com/"
i think, where ever one may live on this planet, being precautious is a good thing especially in this appa
  • ...lling planetary state.
  • and only in the 21st century has earth been so traumatized that sun's effects are more dangerous than ever before.
  • -that's the way to go!
  • Gigantopithecus died of exposure to heat y'know... tis very well of you. tho probably you don't have to worry as much as the old fellow.
  • the action is more important than intention in such area of science... altering genes very oftenly cause "unforeseen and unwanted" side-effects.
  • i think humanity should be (extremely) cautious as well as being determined to advance.
  • and presto! fooling around is one thing, marketing the "fooled around" is yet another... when they're bent on achieving the goal to make an ever-fresh-staying orange, end consumers tend to be the ones discovering that nasty bit of the whole story.
  • awwww i see my words are gone to be really misunderstood here... and believe me i foresaw this outcome just after i published the comment! ...anyways, really i was just referring to the Gigantopithecus thing - and nothing else!
  • so i hereby would like to appologize for any -altough wrongly taken- grievence given to anybody.
  • actually i think that controlled epidemics can be a solution, infact this could be an already-going-on process... think of the latest buzz: swine flu... and about the time it took for the vacination development.
  • all the living the subjects attached to them steadily move towards demise... but does it have to be like this -always bent on creating all new hazards upon already existing numerosity! this is surely the most nightmarish sight of the capitalism.
  • the consumers are seen and being treated as mere test subjects for their "money making experiments"!
  • the funniest thing besides the claim of fraud in voting, is the sight of the protestors carrying placards on which english laguage is used! (which would have no use in iran's political system at all)
  • think about that as the protested iranian politicians being the showcase of the indoctrination of iranian culture "including language"! -the indoctrination that is, which seeps down into every aspect of "iranian life", including the political system.
  • and though i am largely contemptuous about any theocratic subject, i also find any attempt or plot that serves the severity of exploitation.
  • iranian oil, which is currently nationalized under the theocratic rule, is the ultimate prize. the oil upon which "the west" dreams of capitalizing.
  • british petroleum, which has the widely known synonym of BP... formerly had "exactly" this name: "The British and Iranian Oil company". of course you could have well omitted the "iranian" part of the phrase.
  • and another point

...some insurgent groups began their demonstrations "before" the voting took place!
  • such narrow sighted ideology as islam is bound to self destruct; yet, "the change" must not serve a purpose of any other kind than that is urged by the "allegedly affected" masses of people.
  • and there is the readability rule, as long as the first letter and the last are correct one can "meaningfully" read the words even if the letters in-between are garbled up...
  • so don't worry about such a thing about here where the "meaning" and the "power of the will" quiet oftenly prevail! :)
  • i agree to that, mankind could not have come this far without meddling with what is "so natural"... but the deal here with the genetics is the speed at which things are happening.
  • today, caution is generally left out of the equation for the sake of quick gains whether be it money or scientific recognition.
  • sad to hear... be it chocolate or cocoa, both can be allied with cumin with really great tasty results - and "little bit" sweetened cocoa or simple chocolate taste great with blue cheese too! i really do recommend.
  • by the way, that cream in the recipe can be replaced by low-fat yogurt or desalinated soft feta cheese.
  • and cumin can be replaced by ginger... i hope this helps :)
  • the advent that genetic engineering on consumer goods brings may not be known if there isn't sufficient statistic yielded from a large enough populace... hence i cannot point to specific factor as right now.
  • But! the fearfulness is bacause of the variety of the mutagenic factors and also for the vulnerability of human biology at molecular levels.
  • there is a saying in which i think i am badly caught... "the more knowledge possessed the more one is at unease"
  • will do... :)
  • in other words... should the moster be tamed, or should it be set loose... decisions...
  • and by the way, the point was exactly that! ...and some more, as i have "plainly" pronounced in my clarifying comment to attula: scientific recognition.
  • i recently saw in a documentary that in india women and sometimes small children were not accounted into population statistics... though they continue to be consumers that is! looking for awareness? you'd have luckier time seeking life on mars.
  • contemporarily, hydrogen comes to be available at very high cost mainly because of the high expenses involved in building of the hydrogen yielding contraptions. imagine that we would have no need for such mechanisms and only were "harvesting" it!...
  • and about ethanol... not one the thins mentioned here justifies ethanol being legible in the severe face of the famine forecasts.
  • but, other than "food items" ethonol, as a less dependable fuel, could produced from "hemp plant"... to which i reluctantly agree.
  • if you'd take heed from modern day dieticians there are countless risks on countless food items... and even though the foods wouldn't kill one, the stress accumulated from such circumspect life could. if it looks and smells good, eat it!
  • on the second thought, the risk that is cited about soy beans or tofu, can be referenced to the dangers of living off single type nutriment.
  • stavy, one's taste buds, sense of smell and eyes are there for a reason... the risk comes not from specific eatery but from specific consumption style... -that style being rigidity of a diet.
  • indeed however belated, consciousness is of value... and as for the avoiding part, not much can be done except from warily made commerce.
  • but be restful, here we have identified the problem... and i have seen more often than once, that however small seeming notions and benignty can incessantly grow.
  • if there is any holy fate, we are in it!
  • life has an onion skin plausibility.
  • so not finding it productive... i would not consider in such act.
