In the current town I live in, there's next to no recycling options. There's a tiny aluminum recycling center, but if I want to do anything with my plastic bottles or paper, I have to come up with ways myself or travel at least an hour or two away.

In other areas I've been, there were recycling drop-offs in multiple places....and there were always containers at various shops, just like trashcans, but for bottles, cans, etc.

So how accessible is recycling in your area?

My local council

is very big on recycling. They assist with free bins you can sort your recycling into, and they come collect. There are glass, clothing, and tin collection bins in the car parks of all the big supermarkets. My electricity company sent everyone 4 free energy saving bulbs.

Try These Links

We have a widget on our website (www.theterramadre.org) from www.earth911.com that will provide you with all types of recycling options for you. It's really quite helpful!

I don't know

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I don't know much about the recycling options in my town. I'm new to this whole environmental thing. I plan to look into it, though.

Check a Little More

There could be more places you can recycle closer to home. Try calling your closest dump to find out about any recycling programs they may have. Call your city government and ask them the same thing.
