I've seen these commercials on tv admonishing us that water bottles dwell forever more in our landfills. True enough, but aren't more and more people reusing and, ultimately recycling them rather than just chucking them into the waste bin?

What do we do with the new style light bulbs when they blow or get broken? You are not supposed to throw them in the household rubbish as the mercury is poisonous.

I have quite a few ceramic cups and pots that got broken while shifting to a new home. Now I cannot mend them but do not want to just throw away. Can you suggest some ideas to recycle these.
