What do we do with the new style light bulbs when they blow or get broken? You are not supposed to throw them in the household rubbish as the mercury is poisonous.

I have quite a few ceramic cups and pots that got broken while shifting to a new home. Now I cannot mend them but do not want to just throw away. Can you suggest some ideas to recycle these.

Is it more eco-friendly to burn recyclable paper products, let them biodegrade or recycle them?

My lifestlye seems hard on my nylons and tights. Yes, I know that nylon is not eco-friendly, but I do need to wear them on certain occasions because of the nature of my job. I do seem to go through them, literally, quite often. Can any part of them be recycled in any useful way?
