Tin Cans as Art

If you have kids you can reuse the tin cans for art projects to paint them and make various pieces without throwing away anything.

Reusing Plastic Containers

I have a woodstove and something I reuse is my gallon milk jugs. Stacking wood outside for winter, needs to be covered. Most people use tarps, but the tarps have a tendency to blow off during a storm. To secure the tarps, fill your milk jugs w/water and bungee the jugs to the tarp. Slip the bungee around the handle of the jug and then through the grommet on the tarp. Once winter hits, the water inside the jugs freezes and makes for a heavy weight holding the tarps in place.

Newspapers and foil Pie Plates

Newspapers are great for cleaning and shining windows. Apply your window washing agent (vinegar and water work fine), then dry and buff your windows to a clear shine. Pie plates can be strung into fruit trees to ward off those pesky birds who like your fresh fruit as much as you do!

As pots, pen stands, key ring holders, loose chain holders and what not!

Actually a little imagination can take you a long way into using the old cans and cartons in whatever way you choose...the cans do make great pots especially for growing kitchen herbs, also as pen stands...
