We all know by now that there are lots of uses for coffee grounds... but is there any way to recycle teabags too? I use an awful lot of those!

Compost them

I work at Starbucks and we put our tea bags with our coffee grounds to recycle them.

You can also buy loose leaf tea to cut down on the bags altogether.

I'm wondering is starbucks still running their water at all times? Last year there was a big uproar because they were running their sinks all the time wasting much water... does yours still do that?

Puffy Eyes...

Do you brew green tea? If so then there's a nice little trick for puffy eyes with the use of used green tea bags. Simply place the green tea bags, which have already been used, into the refrigerator so that they can get cool. To relieve your eyes of puffiness simply place one green tea bag on each of your eyes. Do this the same way you would with placing cucumber slices on your eyes (it does the same thing).

Yes I recommend this solution, my grandma used to do that to me when I was very young it's a weird feeling but it worked.

Reuse them a few times

I always try to use them at least two times... you can easily use them for at least 4 cups of tea so why not just keep them until they don't make tea any more... if you add sugar or milk I would add them after you take the bag out.

About composting tea bags

I cannot specifically say that composting earthworms will go crazy for used tea, but I know they absolutely love coffee grounds so it's at least a possibility that they'd enjoy spent tea.

Good Advice

I reuse tea bags till they're faded out of their flavor, but I have a question about the puffy eyes remedy mentioned above:

Does that just work with green tea bags? I've had white tea bags in the past and more recently I've got some red tea.
