Somewhere Online

I an old old OLD file about what to do with the free AOL disks you get in the mail. The same crafts apply. A few are to make pretty sun catchers by gluing the dull sides together (great in the garden to scare pests away) and they can also be used as pretty candle holders. They reflect the light and catch the wax drippings.....things like that.

strangely enough

i am sure someone asked me this just recently somewhere.. I hang them in my fig trees to keep the birds off, otherwise i'd never get to eat any figs. Only the magpies are not scared of them, and they don't like figs! They do like the CDs though and are always trying to pull them off the branches...

I've known...

... people who have used them as coasters, shiny side up. I think I've even done that myself in the past. I second the mobile/sun-catcher idea too which is probably the one I've heard most people have done with old CDs. Now I feel like raiding my CD collection for this!

Just amazing

You know, I have never wondered what to do with my defective CDs. I guess that I've never considered any other uses for them. Thanks for the great ideas!
