Driving on Water

That got your attention didn't it? Are you interested in driving on water? Are the fuel prices and low fuel efficiency putting squeeze on your wallet? Well you're not alone and things could get worse before they get better.

As fuel prices keep skyrocketing more people around the world are going to start asking some tough questions, all directed at the governments and automotive industries. See there are some fundamental problems with the Internal combustion engine:

  • Source
Most steel engines have a thermodynamic limit of at most 37%. Even when aided with turbochargers and stock efficiency aids most engines retain an average efficiency of about 20%

  • Source

The basic principles behind the engine are based on the 1907 design...
1907 people! Just look at how the internet has evolved in 15 years!

  • If that's not enough to get you frustrated, take GM for example... in 1996 they released a limited number of and people loved them. Yes they had their problems, the range wasn't great, the Gen1 cars got 55-75 miles per charge. You know how far the average american drives per day? 31 miles!

If you want more info about the EV1 make sure you watch "Who Killed The Electric Car" full movie link right there. You'll be quite surprised about what really happened and learn quite a few things about the hydrogen industry as well.

Oh yeah and GM, I feel absolutely no pity for you right now... you've had a chance to lead the green transportation industry and now you're paying the price. I can't wait till Toyota releases their plugin hybrid (which I'll charge off my solar panels) so I can stop paying for gas once and for all.

If you're interested in saving on fuel costs right now and are asking how can I "drive on water", you might want to check out , from the comments here it's looking like we might be able to drive on water (partly at least). That's till the gas goes over the $200/barrel mark, by then I hope we all can drive .

It's bad out there, we've just had a record tank fill up of $57 which will last a week at best... I can't even imagine owning a SUV right now... my brother has been trying to sell his and there is no takers...

What you think about changing commuting habits of all big cities habitants? Why we don't tell our local authorities to ban all carbon from city centres? Let all buses, taxis commercial vechicles become only electric or hybrid propelled. I live in london and down here every is only complaining about fuel prices, about killing air pollution, but that's it, people we have a power to change that we just have to go to our locals and tell them simulanously, consequently no more carbon.
