It is fair to say that each and every one of us is tired and sick of this pandemic situation. With this being said however, there is very little that we can do about it. One thing which many of us are doing, is to look ahead to the many destinations which we may travel to once all of this is done. For my colleague Enrico Andreoli Montreal is the place which he keeps on telling me that he cannot wait to visit, and having been there myself I can absolutely understand, it truly is a great place to spend some time. Enrico got me thinking about where I plan to go afterwards, and here is what’s at the top of my list.

Scotland – Route 500

I have been to a few places in Scotland before, the usual suspects such as Glasgow and Edinburgh, but there is so much more I want to discover. The plan therefore is that I will head to Scotland once this is all over and move north to the area that they call Route 500. This is a circular route which takes you from Inverness right up to the northern peak of the country. The scenery here looks absolutely stunning and the plan is to take a camper van around it and discover more.

Utah

The USA is a fascinating country with some much to explore and so much to be amazed by. It is for these reasons that I would love to get to Utah and witness that sunning natural scenery which you can find amongst those red rocks. I have seen images of the natural landscape here and it just looks absolutely stunning, something I can’t wait to see.

Tenerife

Growing up I thought that Tenerife sounded like one of those awful places which has been overpopulated with tourists and which would now be somewhere that I had no desire to visit. I must say however, it appears that I have been wrong. I can’t stop hearing about this island from friends and family members and that is why I have put the volcanic island on my list of places that I wish to visit.

Chile

And finally I would love to go down to Chile, Santiago most likely, with a stop off at the glaciers in the south of the country. I have heard that it is possible to go skiing in the morning and to go surfing in the afternoon on the very same day, which is a challenge that I would most certainly accept. I have heard great things about Chile, from the Atacama desert to the stunning glacial waters, and of course the bustle of Santiago as well. I have traveled a great deal through South America but this is one country which has eluded me, but no for much longer!

Where will you be going once the pandemic is over? Let us know in the comments.
